after over 10 years in the business: I don't hold anything without a CASH DEPOSIT. You must understand that if I held every vehicle that somebody said they are coming for, I would never sell anything! Sure, some people (very few) actually come through on their word. But the large majority of those deals never come to fruition. If someone calls me or comes by and asks me to hold a car, I ALWAYS tell them I need a non-refundable deposit to be sure they are serious. I do have sympathy for your situation, but just wanted you to know where the dealer is coming from. We get our chains yanked every day by people who can't buy a six pack of coke, nevermind a vehicle. This Z just wasn't meant for you. But, I'll bet you'll find another one soon and you'll be glad this deal didn't work out. Best of luck. GPA
